This week on Sharin’ Hearts Woman to Woman, Janie and Sharon continue to discuss this call to repentance that we are hearing in America.

In Revelation 2 & 3 we find letters to the churches that commend, correct, and call for repentance; with a warning to always have an ear to hear what the Spirit is saying to us.

Hebrews warns us not to harden our hearts to the voice of the Lord. We never want to grow dull of hearing. “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God” Romans 10:17

These crowns are known to be rewards that some will receive when they stand before the Lord at the judgment seat of Christ where all believers will receive praise from the Lord.

“Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve” 1 Peter 5:2

The crown of rejoicing is sometimes called the soul winner’s crown because it has to do with leading people to Christ. There are many different ways that the Lord can use a believer to make Himself known to an individual. The crown of rejoicing is not just for those who give the ABC’s of salvation or the Roman’s Road.

We can’t really comprehend the magnitude of all that the Lord has for us on that Day, but we know because of who He is they will be so worth the sacrifice, effort, and diligence that we put forth; by Him, through Him, and to Him, to receive them.

“Let us consider one another to provoke to love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching” Hebrews 10:24-25.

This week on Sharin Hearts Woman to Woman, Janie and Sharon find encouragement in the scriptures about the Judgment Seat of Christ. We discover tools that we can put in the Christian toolbox that we can use to prepare us to see Jesus face to face.

“But we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope” Romans 5:3-4.

This week on Sharin’ Hearts Woman to Woman, Janie and Sharon discuss Paul’s counsel to the Corinthian Church about their heart issues.

Thinking they had it all figured out, the church at Corinth was excusing their behavior in liberty while walking in carnality. Paul is writing in hopes to expose the blindness that they had because of their pride. They were unwilling to be corrected and disciplined so Paul is doing all he can to enlighten their hearts to the truth.

So join in the conversation as we examine Paul’s warning to the church and his Point of View for Our Trials.

“Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God” 1 Cor. 4:1.

This week on Sharin’ Hearts Woman to Woman, Janie and Sharon examine Paul’s counsel to the Corinthian Church about how they should be handling their relationship with God.

It’s important that we stop living in blindness to the mysteries of God and begin to understand them through our faithful devotion to the relationship with Him. Not in the deeds we do or the outward appearance of holiness, but in the innermost parts of our being.

It is time that the church wakes up because what we do today is going to count for all of eternity.

Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you” 1 Cor. 3:16.

This week on Sharin’ Hearts Woman to Woman, Janie and Sharon continue their conversation in first Corinthians Chapter 3. Paul is instructing the church on the foundation of Jesus Christ. He is warning them to be careful about the materials they use to build upon the foundation. And he reminds them that they are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

We can learn much from these passages that Paul is sharing because they are still relevant to our lives today. Paul mentions wood, hay, and stubble; which burn easily. In opposition, he asks if we are building with gold, silver, and precious stones. In the fire, the metals become more pliable and pure. The stones are rare and valuable.

So join in the conversation as we discover how to build the temple of the Holy Spirit with the best materials as Paul instructs the Corinthians in Character Qualities.

As we look at the counsel Paul gave the Corinthian Church in 1 Corinthians Chapter 3, we see warnings about how to lay the foundation of Jesus Christ. We learn that the foundation is laid by what we believe.

“Be alert and of sober mind, because your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” 1 Peter 5:8.

This week on Sharin’ Hearts Woman to Woman, Janie Ratzlaff and Sharon Hoskins take a look at the craftiness of the enemy. It is important that we are aware of the enemy’s tactics, deceptions, and subtle ways in order to avoid falling into the trap set.

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage” Galatians 5:1

This week on Sharin’ Hearts Woman to Woman, Janie Ratzlaff and Sharon Hoskins continue to explore the cross of Jesus Christ. The cross accomplished more than just forgiveness of sins; it also took care of our flesh and defeated the power of Satan in our life.

When Jesus said, “…I have come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly” John 10:10b, He was speaking of the fulness that the cross would provide for us to be able to live a victorious life.

As Christians, we don’t have to let our flesh take charge of our lives anymore because we are crucified with Christ and no longer slaves to sin. Many times we look no different than the world in how we deal with each other. We bite and devour one another and consume each other, which Galatians 5:15 warns us not to do.

The liberty that we have been given by the cross gives us the power to walk in the Spirit, fight against the flesh, and to display the fruit of the Spirit to all those around us.

“Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that hereafter we should not serve sin” Romans 6:6

This week on Sharin’ Hearts Woman to Woman, Janie Ratzlaff and Sharon Hoskins discuss the freedom that Christ has provided for us by the cross. He paid for our sins by His blood, He took care of our sin (natural man) by the crucifixion, and He defeated the power of Satan in our lives by the resurrection. There is so much that the Lord has given us. We have the assurance of our salvation. We have safety from the enemy. We have peace that the world can’t give. We can be joyful, courageous, and holy, full of virtue, and have a dynamic life.

On the cross, Jesus was crucified for me and on the cross, I am crucified with Him. This seems to be one of the most difficult concepts of truth for us to understand. Romans Chapter Six assures us that we are no longer slaves to sin because of the cross of Christ.

We can find great divisions in every aspect of our world today. With everyone doing what is right in their own sight and no absolute truth to stand on, there is a great divide in our nation from the government to families. We have advanced technologies that have advanced our knowledge and intellect. Being wise in our own eyes we have become fools as Romans 1:22 talks about. These same kinds of things were going on in the church at Corinth.

The Christians at Corinth were going through a crisis, much like we find ourselves in a crisis today. Life is not as we have known it and learning new ways to live can be quite difficult. It requires a conscious effort to do things differently. Automatic motions demand to be adjusted so that we keep our distance. The Corinthian church was struggling to change from their old habits to find a new way of life. So, as we are facing many obstacles and struggles today, we learn that we can trust God through every aspect of them, just as they are learning. Guilt, depression, and uncertainty can overwhelm us but if we will run to the Father, He has all we need.

Their struggle was caused by deep-rooted habits and ingrained traditions that came from culture. As new believers, they were intermingling Christianity with the culture of Corinth. Paul is writing this letter to encourage them in their struggle and also to warn them of the danger that is lurking.

“However when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth” John 16:13a

We acknowledge that the Holy Spirit exists as part of the Trinity, but we often find it difficult to acknowledge Him in our everyday life. John 16:13 is one of the many beautiful promises that is fulfilled by the Holy Spirit. Once we recognize the characteristics of the Holy Spirit and understand the roles He plays in our lives, then allowing Him to be active on a daily basis will come easier.

There are many things happening right now that can cause us to be fearful and in turn, we begin to doubt God and His love for us. If we can recognize the fear that is getting into our hearts, then we can take action so that doubt does not grow. If we can also recognize doubt, then we can trace it back to a root of fear. So remember, “Satan sows seeds of fear that we might reap the fruit of doubt.” Join in the conversation as we look at how to overcome doubt.

This week on Sharin Hearts Woman to Woman, Janie and Sharon are feeling the effects of the pandemic that has swept around the world. Since they have been unable to meet in the studio for conversation, they scoured their archives for topics that are relevant to our current situation. Fear is flooding many hearts as they face financial uncertainty, loss of loved ones, and isolation from friends and family. These are very difficult times but we want to be able to overcome the fear that grips and paralyzes us. There are approximately 365 verses about fear and worry in scripture. So, join in the conversation as we explore many of these verses to discover How to Overcome Fear.

“Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin” Hebrews 4:14-15

This week on Sharin’ Hearts Woman to Woman, Janie and Sharon take a look at a time in Jesus’ life when He was enduring the pits. In Hebrews Chapter 4, we are encouraged with the knowledge that Jesus understands, from first-hand experience, the struggles we face in this world. He knows our weakness and has experienced the same temptations.

In Luke 22, we read of the time when Jesus was in the deepest pit; He is about to be arrested and sacrificed on the cross. Examining this passage of scripture, we find encouragement from Jesus as He encourages His disciples to prepare for the tough times ahead. When we are in the pits of life, we can look to His example to help us endure because we know that He, Himself, Jesus endured the pits.

“I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings” Psalm 40:1-2.
