Blessed Are Those That Wait On The Lord

Isaiah 30:18 “ Therefore the Lord will wait that He may be gracious to you: and therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him.”

In the times we live in, it is much harder to wait and be still than to work and be busy. If there is uncertainty, WAIT. Always, if you have any doubt, WAIT.  Do not force yourself into action. If you have restraint in your spirit, wait until all is clear.

Waiting for God is not laziness, going to sleep, or abandonment of effort. Waiting for God means being active under command, being ready for a new command that may come, or having the ability to do nothing until the command is given. To wait is to live a life of desire toward God, delight in Him, dependence on Him, and devotedness to Him. He is the reason we are willing to wait in life that we may know Him in a deep abiding relationship and be prepared to worship, work, and wonder at the grace that is ours throughout eternity.

On the other hand, the world wants us to be getting instead of giving, organizing rather than agonizing, playing instead of praying, selfish in place of service, worrying and not worshipping, anxious rather than patient, loathing replacing loving, working preferably to weeping, whining instead of waiting on God.

Follow the path that is prepared for us in waiting on God by being still before Him. Jeremiah 6:16 And join in the conversation as we express how blessed are those who wait on the Lord.
