Simplicity of Diverse Prayer

“I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercession and giving of thanks be made for all men” I Timothy 2:1

Paul made this exhortation to Timothy to encourage him to have the flock pray in public worship.  It is very hard for some people to pray publicly, but there is a need for us to know and bear the burdens of others. The heart needs may be difficult to discuss openly, but it’s important to be transparent because others may be going through similar things, and knowing you’re not alone is encouraging.

Those who have been in the situation already can give encouragement to get through. With a desire to open your heart to blessing others, it gives confidence that they are being remembered before God when maybe they are too overwhelmed and “just can’t pray right now.

When Jesus talked to His Father in prayer, He made specific requests, submitting all to the Father’s perfect will.  Let us not grow weary in well-doing, and do not allow lies to place fears in us to hinder the flow of heavenly answers for earthly problems.
