Knowing the Scriptures
“That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His suffering, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead” Phil. 3:10-11.
The Lord has been so gracious to His children in that He has given His Word (the Bible) that we may know Him. The scriptures reveals truth in light of all of eternity through different periods of time (ages), in many different situations, with many different people, but God’s character never changes.
Connecting the Scriptures to Jesus Christ Himself changes our perspective of God’s Word. The Bible then becomes more than a book to study, or a manual for living our “Christian” life, but it becomes a means of communing with God in a relationship with His Son.
Today, we will discuss the different ways that the Lord makes Himself known to us; from the Old Testament to the Gospels and the Epistles.
So we invite you to join in the conversation as we discuss the value of knowing the scriptures.
