The Heart of God-Encouragement

…be at peace among yourselves. Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the faint-hearted, support the weak, be patient toward all men. See that none of you render evil for evil to any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men” 1 Thessalonians 5:13-15.

This week on Sharin’ Hearts Woman to Woman, Janie and Sharon discuss the heart of God in encouragement. Sometimes encouragement means that we should warn others of the danger of their actions, attitude, words, etc. Sometimes encouragement means upholding the weak or comforting the faint-hearted. An encourager must know how to discern when to warn, uphold, and comfort. Encouragers can help bring healing to an individual and to the body of Christ. The purpose is to keep the unity of believers together with God.
