Pathway Out of the Pits

“I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings” Psalm 40:1-2.

Janie and Sharon take a journey through Psalm 40 this week.

As a society, we have been conditioned to get results instantly. We can get instant answers with the stroke of a few keys. We have the opportunity to get instant meals through a window and short cuts food prep from a box.

So when we are in a dark place like the pits, we tend to get anxious for instant answers and instant relief. However, God has a better plan that might take longer; it might even be a bit more painful, but the results will be so sweet and satisfying.

We invite you to join in the conversation to discover 6 subcategories in a journey through Psalm 40 that will serve as a pathway out of the pits.
