The Cross Provides Complete Freedom

“Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that hereafter we should not serve sin” Romans 6:6

This week on Sharin’ Hearts Woman to Woman, Janie Ratzlaff and Sharon Hoskins discuss the freedom that Christ has provided for us by the cross. He paid for our sins by His blood, He took care of our sin (natural man) by the crucifixion, and He defeated the power of Satan in our lives by the resurrection. There is so much that the Lord has given us. We have the assurance of our salvation. We have safety from the enemy. We have peace that the world can’t give. We can be joyful, courageous, and holy, full of virtue, and have a dynamic life.

On the cross, Jesus was crucified for me and on the cross, I am crucified with Him. This seems to be one of the most difficult concepts of truth for us to understand. Romans Chapter Six assures us that we are no longer slaves to sin because of the cross of Christ.
