Pursuing Spiritual Growth

“Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby” 1 Peter 2:1-2.

These verses in First Peter express a choice that needs to be made. To lay aside requires a decision to make a conscious effort to put those old ways down to have the new, more excellent things.

Desiring the Word is opting for a better life through spiritual growth that comes from feeding on that Word of God.
